Description

Vehicle Specs

A beautiful example of an unrestored well cared w-30 Hurst Olds. Has its numbers matching drivetrain and one repaint 20 years ago. The paint shows very well with a few blemishes here and there but overall shows beautifully. Heat and A/c work aftermarket radio sounds good.

This Rare Survivor 75 Olds Cutlass 455 W30 Hurst still has it's #'S MATCHING 455 BIG BLOCK V8, TH400, FACTORY BLACK, RARE 1 OF 2,535, T-TOPS!
This 1975 Oldsmobile Cutlass Hurst/Olds W-30 is the big 455 V8 machine with a cool color combo, exclusive T-tops, and ton of vintage style. So it's the car you never saw coming, but after you dig into the details, you'll realize it's the one you've always wanted.

The Hurst/Olds has been the awesome muscle car treat that ranked even above the 442 for many years, and the 1975 car was one of the most unique ever. It was a single-year design that traded in the Colonnade profile for a more formal roofline with a half vinyl top. But the real story was the T-tops that were exclusive to this gen's year only. The recipe proved popular for its time. They sold 2,535 examples, and that was quite a bit for these expensive coupes back in 1975... but over 45 years later, you know it's exceptionally rare to find one today, and this one with the larger motor and the desirable black color combo. The exterior was paint in the 90's and is showing blemishes in some areas it has the special Hurst gold pinstripe kit and the special louver trim hood. Even the Super Sport III wheels were specially painted in gold. It makes for quite a sharp-looking classic.

When you have the roof open and the doors, it makes for a terrific way to showcase those cool swiveling front bucket seats. The white upholstery even has the correct reversible inserts in the front buckets. You also have great factory features and a center console. As a true Hurst/Olds you have a driver-oriented machine. That's why there's the special Oldsmobile sports steering wheel on the tilt column, and the dash wraps around you. Plus, you have the hallmark Hurst dual gate shifter prominently in the center of the car. The Interior does show wear due to age.

The W30 designation has always been important to Oldsmobile, and this is no different. It means this one came optioned with the big 455 cubic-inch V8, and it's great to have that numbers matching mighty displacement still under the hood today! Horsepower ratings were down in this era, but with this much size, you have a torque monster that has plenty of low-end muscle. It inhales deeply with a four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a proper V8 tune from the dual exhaust. The TH400 three-speed transmission is ideal for smooth shifting when you want easy driving and stout construction when you want to enjoy the dual-gate shifter. Add in power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a rear sway bar, and this rare Olds is also a terrific all-around driver and true survivor.
