Beautifully restored 1939 Ford DeLuxe Phaeton last year for the Phaeton model making this one very Rare. It is finished in a Beautiful Green exterior with a taupe canvas top and Saddle interior Twenty-one stud 221 CID Flathead V-8 with Evans Heads Three-speed manual transmission and 3.78 gearings Not knowing when to give up on a good thing, Ford continued making open cars through the 1930s, even though sedans and coupes gained market share every year that decade. Finished in Dark Green metallic with a taupe canvas top that looks good, the car's paint and trim are in great condition. The windows are clear and intact as are the car's lights, with its distinctive teardrop-shaped headlights. The car's bodywork is straight and the engine bay is tidy and the chrome bumpers are in very good order. There is also a full-sized spare tire mounted in the rear. This car rides on wide whitewall tires, size 6.00-16 surrounding steel wheels with factory moon wheel covers with the V8 logo. The tires are in satisfactory condition while the wheel covers look great. Under the hood is Ford's 221 CID Flathead V-8 engine with 21 studs and Evans Heads and has also been upgraded with a 4b carb and 12v system. It is buttoned to a three-speed manual transmission and back by a 3.78:1 differential. Inside, the car's Saddle leather interior is in overall great condition. The front and rear bench seats are in great condition, as is the matching carpet. The three-spoke banjo steering wheel looks great, as does the stem-wind clock in the glove box door. The wood-grain instrument panel and inner door liners look great and the shift lever is in decent order. Competition to the Phaeton in 1939 included Chevrolet's Master series convertible, Plymouth's P6 Deluxe Convertible Coupe with rumble seat, and Pontiac's Convertible Sedan. This phaeton truly represents the end of the automotive era. If you're a pre-World War II classic car fan or a classic Ford fan, you should really stop by

The Ford Standard and Deluxe was a series of full-size cars introduced for the 1937 model year. This family of cars was offered in a wide range of body styles such as coupe, convertible, two or four-door sedan, and station wagon. Two engine options were available during production, the base 2.2L V8, and the optional 3.6L V8 engine. The Deluxe variant was the high-trimmed, and more luxurious version, while the Standard represented the base model. Over the course of production, Ford used Model 'X' names to designate their higher output engine. Ex: The 1937 Model 74 featured the 60hp V8 engine, as opposed to the Model 78's 85hp V8 (For 1938: Model 81A, 82A / For 1939 Model 91A, 92A, etc). Production of the Ford Standard & Deluxe lasted until 1940.
