The Caballero was, of course, a Chevy El Camino by another name. GM's love for rebadging extended to its rear-wheel-drive, car-based pickup truck that was sold from model years 1978 through 1987.

While trim levels and names differed, the El Camino and Caballero were largely the same aside from badging and grille design, which could be why Caballero sold in lower volumes than its sibling.

Under the hood is exactly what you want to see. The 350 cubic-inch small-block V8 and while these robust V8s love upgrades. This Caballero inhales deeply with a Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and the dual exhaust has the right V8 tune. This Caballero is set up to be an easy all-day cruiser with features such as power steering, power brakes, front discs, a limited-slip rear, and a four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive.

Over a great driver quality classic but does shows some signs of age. Interior shows some wear and appears to have a dash overlay. Previous owner had a new headliner installed and never installed the visors but they are included. Exterior paint looks good but has some stone chips on the hood and front bumper filler corners have been touched up. Overall still looks great even up-close but want to stress its a driver and not a 100 point show car. Factory AC car but compressor has been removed.
