Vehicle Specs

This 1968 Chevelle SS 13837 is sure to hit a few high notes with Chevy fans: Big block 396 engine. Slick Red paint, 4-spd and 100% ready to rumble.

Classic Red sure looks good on the Chevelle, doesn't it? Chevy's intermediate got a big facelift that started what is arguably the most popular line of muscle cars, and there's no question they got it right. Bodywork is excellent throughout, with great gaps and a smooth finish thanks to a lifetime spent someplace warm. Look how nicely those quarters fit, the smooth, unbroken line that runs from nose to tail, and the gaps on the doors; this car was put together very carefully. Four headlights up front frame a shiny SS grille, while out back, a blacked-out tail panel with correct SS emblems highlights the bumper. The emblems say '396' and that was what this Chevelle was packing originally being a 13837 Vin, but today there's NOM 396 4W prefix date coded 68 396 350Hp under the hood. I don't care what you're driving, you're going to think twice when a big block Chevelle rolls up next to you.

Inside, this one looks fantastic thanks to a set of beautiful black buckets with a factory console featuring a 4spd shifter. The original gauges are in great condition, more evidence of an easy life. The back seat also looks great, and fresh black carpet was installed throughout the passenger compartment just a few years ago. The trunk compartment also appears very clean.

The original engine is gone, replaced by a NOM 396 4W prefix date coded 68 396 350Hp, although you wouldn't know it by looking. Nicely detailed and will show very well at the local cruise night. Chevy Orange covers the block, while moroso chrome valve covers and open-element air cleaner provide a little eye candy and help complete the illusion. That potent big block is ably supported by a 4-spd manual transmission turning a durable 12-bolt rear and the chassis is the reason why this car will be your favorite. The exhaust system makes that unmistakable big block sound and terminates under the rear bumper and is equipped with headers. . The suspension is stock, the brakes are 4 wheel drum there's a new gas tank out back, and it rides on a set of new 17 & 18-inch American Racing torque thrust rims and new radial tires.

Clean, fast, and virtually bulletproof, this is the kind of Chevelle you've always wanted. Go ahead, indulge yourself and give us a call today!
