67 Pontiac Catalina 2+2 428 Convertible 1 Of 1768 Produced
The 2+2 Sport Option cost $420.22 on the restyled 1967 Catalina and included exclusive "depressed louvers" on the front fenders, deluxe wheel discs and steering wheel, Strato bucket seats, 2+2 emblems (front, side, and rear), and additional exterior bright trim. As had been the case for the previous two years, HD parts augmented the cornering capabilities of the short/long/arm front and four-link rear suspension. For 1967, the front/rear coil springs featured stiffer 90/127-ppi ride rates at the wheel, and a thicker .875-inch front anti-roll bar, and HD shocks were installed. Emblems on the fenders and the engine bay's fan guard announced the 2+2's new engine. Under the chrome air cleaner and rocker covers lurked a standard 428 four-barrel with dual-exhaust and 360-hp.
The fact that Pontiac built just 1,768 two-door hardtop and convertible Catalinas with the 2+2 Sport Option for 1967 was a sign of the times, and an indication of the popularity of affordable midsized muscle. In the U.S., the 2+2 was retired after 1967
Overall a very beautiful cruiser with a restored engine bay, exterior and interior that looks great. There is evidence of lower quarter replacement. Undercarriage looks great see photos.
