This 1967 Chevelle SS 396 is a Genuine 138 coded Super Sport in the beautiful Tahoe Turquoise exterior with Turquoise interior upholstery. Sold new in California on June 3rd, 1967 this SS was optioned with the original numbers matching 396-325HP engine paired to a Muncie M20 4 Speed Transmission, that power gets sent to the rear wheels into a 12 bolt 3.36 positraction rear end! This car also has a rare California Smog System, original power steering, original Delco AM Radio, Factory tach and gauges, Mag Style Wheel Covers, Redline tires and much more! This car is a body-off restoration, outstanding chrome and trim and Solid arrow-straight body!
EXTERIOR: The fit and finishes are excellent. Look down either side of this car and it's laser beam straight. Exterior has been wet sanded and buffed! The Tahoe Turquoise is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished like glass. The trim really enhances the car even more because it all sparkles. Upfront the grill, bumper, bumper guards look new. The chrome grills on the hood, door handles, emblems are also in like new condition. Most of the stainless trim looks new. In back the tail lights, trim, and bumpers look new. Door jambs are painted real nice, clean along the bottoms. The latches are cleaned up, new weather strips, metal sill plates. fuzzy window seals look great. 14 inch rally wheels have radial redline Cooker Classic tires.
INTERIOR: Sitting in the car and every part looks new. In front of me is a beautiful dash. All the chrome trim is new and sparkling, original dash pad, clean heater control panel. All the interior metal is painted slick. It has the factory in dash gauge package and a "blinker" tachometer. Called that because the turn signal blinker part of it. It has a working original am stereo. Restored bench seat- cushions, upholstery looks new. Door panels are new including the armrests, window cranks and handles. Down on the floor the carpet is replaced.. There are seat belts front and back. Visors and glove box liner are in great shape.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Beautiful motor compartment, you will be proud to open it. Numbers matching 396 325hp all stock. Correct intake, manifolds, air cleaner etc. stock style fan and shroud. It features power steering. Manual brake system. Wiper motor looks new. All the metal is clean and painted very nicely.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Looks to be all solid metal. Painted a gray and white spatter finish. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb is as glossy as the outside. New decal and weatherstrip. Rally wheel and Radial Redline tire for a spare also has a Jack assembly and it's all bolted down properly.
UNDERSIDE: The front end is completely rebuilt. Replaced balljoints, bushings, swaybar, shocks and springs. In back it has all new suspension. In back it has a 12 bolt posi rear with 3:36 gears. The bottom of this car is restored to look new. Nice gloss on the chassis and satin black on the floors. The metal is clean, smooth and dry.
This one is exceptional. Beautiful colors, great features, restored to a level you will be proud of and it functions like a new 67 Chevelle!
